If you need to stop a coupon from being used, you can deactivate it at any time. Deactivated coupons cannot be applied at checkout, but they remain in your account and can be reactivated later.
Steps to deactivate a coupon
- Go to Coupons in your dashboard sidebar
- Find the coupon you want to deactivate
- Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the coupon row
- Select Deactivate and confirm when prompted
The coupon status will change to Inactive immediately.
When to deactivate a coupon
You might want to deactivate a coupon if your promotion has ended early, you made a mistake in the coupon settings and need to stop it while you create a corrected version, or the coupon is being misused.
Reactivating a coupon
To turn a coupon back on, follow the same steps but select Activate from the menu. The coupon will start working again immediately, provided it has not expired and has remaining usage if a limit was set.
Deactivate vs letting it expire
If your coupon has an end date, it will automatically stop working when that date passes. You only need to manually deactivate if you want to stop it before the scheduled end date.
Effect on existing bookings
Deactivating a coupon does not affect bookings that have already been made using it. Those bookings keep their discounted price. Deactivation only prevents new bookings from using the code.
